MantraMine

The update to the MantraMine server has been completed and it includes a few new features that are VERY important.

The first new feature is the ability to set home locations. This will allow you to /home and teleport directly to your home. You can only set your home once without requiring administrator approval so make sure you definately want it there before setting it! (this is to prevent abuse). To set a home location, just stand at the location you want and type /sethome. You will be asked to confirm the location if you are sure. Type /sethome again (within 30 seconds) to confirm this location. If you made a mistake, just wait at least 30 seconds and try again. If you have a legitimate reason for wanting to move your home location, contact an administrator to get approval.

The next major feature is the ability to protect your home from griefers. I have written a page dedicated to how to do this so I’ll just summarise here. Basically you protect a region of land between points A and B from the bedrock to the sky. This prevents people from building on this land and accessing chests etc. People can still walk through the area, they just can’t build.

There is one requirement for the region though. You MUST be building on that region and it must be “like” a home for you. So no protecting a region just because it’s your personal mine or anything like that. Anyone found doing that will have the region removed and possibly lose the ability to protect regions.

Region protecting like this is your responsibility. If someone decides to grief your house, that person will still be banned but your house will have to be rebuilt manually so make sure you protect your house!

Now, some caveats. If you have any complaints about a region, let an administrator know and we will deal with it BUT if you build to close to someone and their region prevents you building something, that’s your fault for living so close and we will not help with that! (that’s why we have an almost unlimited map). Also, make your regions respectable in size. Don’t protect an area twice the size of your house for example. Usually one or two blocks outside your fence or wall is acceptable.
